"Itami's original 12 varieties of rice goes through a transformation by creative director Kashiwa Sato. 
His focus is on the details – and through iteration and refinement – ultimately breathes new life into Itamimai. 

Using the traditional colours of red and white, the packaging is both ecological and functional; reusing resources wherever possible. With rice straw mixed into its material, a simple zipper for longer lasting produce, and a convenient handle within the design to decrease the use of plastic shopping bags - Itamimai is reborne into a safe and reliable rice brand that merges into the Japanese lifestyle of today."
