Jody was born in 1973 in Hunan Province of China. He graduated from the Central Academy of Arts & Design and New York Film Academy director class in China. Jody is currently a part time Head of Design at Wieden + Kennedy Shanghai. He was previously a Group Creative Director at Ogilvy Shanghai, and has worked around the in different 4A agencies such as Leo Burnett Shanghai and DDB Shanghai, creating numerous Influential advertising and design campaigns.

Jody is one of the creative persons in China who has won the most awards. He has entered the top designer list at 2015 Forbes China. Jody’s famous campaign ‘Green Pedestrian Crossing’ was ranked among the top 10 most awarded posters in the world by the Gunn Report. Another project of him ‘The Keyboard of Isolation’ was voted by The Big Won as one of the top 5 design work which won the most awards. He has got over 300 impressive awards including Gold Design Lions, Silver Design Lions, Bronze Film Lions and 18 Finalists at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, 3 Pencils at D&AD, 2 Silver Cubes at New York Art Directors Club, 2 Winners at Red Dot Design Award, 2 Silver Pencils and 7 Merits at One Show, 3 Silvers and 5 Shortlists at Clio Awards, Gold Andy Awards, 2 Grand Prixs, 5 Golds and 6 Silvers at Adfest, Grand Prix at the UK Green Awards, 1 Gold, 5 Silvers and 3 Bronzes at New York Festival, 3 Golds, 4 Silvers and 2 Bronzes at Spikes, Silver and Bronze Pencils at Australia Award, London International Bronze Award, Silver Webby Awards, Ad Stars Silver and Bronze Award, 5 Best of Best at GDC Graphic Design In China, 6 Gold Effie Award, the Best of Best LongXi Awards, and 2 Grand Prixs China 4As, etc.

He is one of the first creative people in China who combines contemporary art with advertising and design works and has got many creatively influential cases. Jody is one of few creative people who have lectured at TED and his topic was ‘The Social Value of Art’. In this April, Jody is going to judge at D&AD. He has also judged at AdFest, One Show Young Creative, New York Festivals, Spikes Asia, Cresta Awards and Long Xi Awards, etc.
