The theme of this month is GOURMET.
As we hunt for particular restaurants and watch people eat mounds of food on youtube, it's fair to say that we have a certain fixation, an obsession — with food. "Gourmands", "foodies", "food porn" — food culture connects us, creates new thoughts, and continues to expand and evolve. A form of expression; it comforts us, excites us, reminds us of home.
Yet it's not just about the food itself, but the objects, people, and history around it that contribute to its meaning and atmosphere. Packaging also plays a major role in our food-world today, as it has become an integral part of how food and drinks are served.
Now, for the month of October, the awarded works hint at our relationship with the theme of GOURMET in curious ways.
