"In China, canola oil, known as “Oriental olive oil”, has thousands of years of history. This packaging design aims to reinforce the brand’s continuation of the traditional concept of “Taoism following the nature”, namely to carry forward the traditional oil refining method; on the other hand, it needs to demonstrate the qualities of the modern brand, which is simple and stylish.
With the concept of rich contents and simple appearance, the design demonstrates the pure, modern product characteristics through its minimalist packaging and the packaging’s visual sense, while the pattern on the reverse side adopts the traditional woodblock printing approach. It expresses the traditional refinery process of the canola oil step by step, and forms these into a picture. At the same time, the environmental-friendly handmade paper for the external packaging gives a sense of touch to the product, while echoing the concept of returning its original nature. Overall extraction method is extremely simple, thus maximizing the modern minimalist character of the brand."
