Andi Rahmat

Andi Rahmat (born in Ciamis, West Java, 1985) is an Indonesian graphic designer based in Bandung. He graduated in Visual Communication Design from Indonesia Computer University in 2008 and founded Nusaé in 2013 after working with multinational clients at Lowe Indonesia and Leo Burnett Indonesia. His practice spans two- and three-dimensional media, including environmental, spatial, and exhibition design, with a focus on visual information systems, environmental graphics, signage, and branding.
His work is guided by the principle of Harmonizing, a design approach that systematically connects multiple contexts and disciplines to produce cohesive and meaningful outcomes. Notable projects include visual identity and environmental graphic design for the Indonesian Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale 2019, international architecture and art exhibitions, and city branding initiatives such as Tulang Bawang Barat (Tubaba). His portfolio in branding and art direction includes projects for SAMAA Coffee Tokyo, Peggy Hartanto, ARTSUBS, and Bintaro Design District, as well as exhibition graphics for ETH Zurich, the Indonesian Architects Week held in Seoul, Rio de Janeiro, and Kuala Lumpur, and the D&AD Awards Exhibition in Indonesia.
In 2024, he presented a solo exhibition titled Harmonizing in Jakarta, followed by the publication of his book Harmonizing in 2025. He served as Chair of the Indonesian Graphic Designers Association (ADGI) Bandung Chapter from 2015 to 2017 and continues to contribute to the international design community as a jury member for platforms such as D&AD and Young Guns. His work has received several recognitions, including the Good Design Award (G-Mark), Japan.
