Born 1979 in Hiroshima, Japan, Daigo Daikoku graduated from Kanazawa College of Art in 2003 to work at Nippon Design Center, establishing Daikoku Design Institute in 2011. 

He creates works of varying scales from two to three dimensional, spanning creations across flat surfaces to spaces and moving images. Notable works include the complete direction of TAKAO 599 Museum, organic cotton brand PRISTINE, art direction for Musabi Art University between 2011 to 2015, packaging and graphics for craft sake brand Koshi no Kanbai, and even Japanese Empress Michiko’s song book.

Through activities such as branding for Kiyosato, a town in Hokkaido, and projects focusing on the Japanese peninsula as a theme, Daigo continuously works to discover and share the value of Japan.

His work is also highly recognised both nationally and internationally through awards such as the Tokyo ADC Memorial Prize of Hiromu Hara, JAGDA Award and its Newcomers Award, D&AD Yellow Pencil, NY ADC Gold Award, Good Design Award, and the SDA Excellence Award.
