Naoki Ito
Born in Shizuoka, Japan, in 1971. Waseda University alumnus. As CEO of PARTY, a creative lab that pursues the mingling of technology and storytelling, Naoki has worked on creative direction for brands such as Nike, Google, SONY, and MUJI. His solutions for communication design involving physicality and actual experiences based on “the memories of experiences” have garnered enthusiastic public responses and international recognition. In 2016, Fast Company magazine selected Naoki as a member of “The Most Creative People in Business 1000.” His recent work includes space design for Narita International Airport Terminal 3 and dental care IoT “G•U•M PLAY” for SUNSTAR. Naoki has won over 200 design and advertising awards in Japan and abroad, including Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival, Good Design Award, and Gold Lions at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Publications include “PARTY” (ggg books). Naoki has served on the Cool Japan Public Private Expert Council (2011, 2012). He is currently on The One Club International Board of Directors. Another hat Naoki wears is that of professor at Kyoto University of Art and Design.
