The form of the cutlery is used as the outline, and the rhythm of the design, including the size information, is intended to evoke the innocence of a child and a pleasant dining scene with lively conversation. The outline is also made thicker to give the image of a crayon drawing, and is thoroughly connected to the word "child".
The black bottom of the box is a reference to the sun shining down from the energetic outdoor play, and the shadows falling strongly from this cutlery. In addition, by leaving the bottom of the box all in black, we hope that children's imaginations will be able to create other designs, such as animals, and that this will encourage more conversation.
