"haccoba -Craft Sake Brewery- in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, is producing a new genre of Japanese sake called "craft saké".
Haccoba has developed a number of sakes in which the hops used to make beer are fermented together with sake during the sake production process.
This may seem like a new way of making sake, but it is actually based on the "Hanamoto" method of making doburoku, which is traditional in some areas of the Tohoku region.

“Hanahuta Drops” is a modern revival of this traditional method.
“Hananuta Hops" is a sake that takes Hanamoto as its starting point and incorporates craft beer production methods.
We have re-edited sake with the free culture of craft beer to deliver an unprecedented experience.
The label design features microorganisms that are important in sake brewing, and the pop-out composition of the label design expresses haccoba's goal of free sake brewing that transcends genres."
