Using both the wisdom of phytotherapy, systematized in France, and Japanese herbalism (also known as honzogaku), birthed plant biomethodology, an evolutionary system of phytotherapy that closely links people to nature.

Award winning phytotherapist, Atsuko Mortia, worked in cooperation with expert phytoscientists in the fields of geology, agriculture, and pharmacology, to create Waphyto, a fully realized brand, specially formulated to harness the power of plants. Waphyto's Environmental philosophy, one of the 4 E's that make up its core values, inspired the use of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic for our packaging.

With the aim of creating an easy product to hold, that fits comfortably in one's hand, we chose a matte texture that features a debossed logo, resulting in a product that blends seamlessly with one's lifestyle and surroundings.

With a tagline like 'Live Colorfully with Mother Earth,' we focused on the subtle nuances of color and used the unique Japanese plants, ingredients in Waphyto products themselves, as inspiration for our palette of earth tones and traditional Japanese colors.
