Design of rice bags for Organic Farm Takashima Farm, which produces organic and specially grown rice.
Mr. Takashima, who grows rice without using pesticides or chemical fertilizers and simply desire to deliver healthy rice, inspires our design. We came up with the idea of using a slightly rough layout of beautiful white rice to represent the brand.
The kanji of Mr. Takashima's name is “上島” which is quite rare to read “Takashima”. To make it easier for consumers to remember his name, we placed rice grains in same shape with ”上” and the logo is written in hiragana.
The base of the rice bag is divided into organic and special cultivation, the rice variety is indicated by a sticker in the shape of the first letter "Fu" of Fukkurinko and the first letter "Yu" of Yumepirika, and milled rice is indicated by a sticker in the shape of rice, with the milling level indicated by the color, for a functional design.
The design is functional, but at the same time, it is designed to convey Takashima's desire for healthy rice consumption to the customers.
