Yiayia and friends is a multifaceted project that reimagines superior quality food products rooted in Greek traditions. At the heart of the story is “yiayia”, our all-powerful, all-knowing, magical Greek granny. Both familiar and iconic, yiayia celebrates the arts of growing, cooking and sharing food as the gateway into a holistic approach to food and life. Yiayia’s premium Greek extra virgin olive oil single-serve sticks are designed to deliver all the nutritional benefits of olive oil even on the go! The figure of Yiayia is the main illustration that characterizes the brand. The use of negative space – a key graphic element – around her face suggests her traditional black kerchief and dress. The unique eyes, shared by the entire cast of yiayia’s vibrant illustrated “friends”, are a key visual element that doubles as a “silent” logo across the project.
