In the process of rebranding "TOSHOAN", an anko (sweet red bean paste) shop in Kyoto established in 1950, we focused on the compatibility of anko and coffee, and planned a new yokan (sweet bean paste jelly) product that would be enjoyed not only by coffee lovers but also by existing customers who like Japanese sweets.

We decided on the name "YOKAN FOR COFFEE" because it conveys the concept of the product in a straightforward way.

For the graphics, we decided to use a "coffee ring" to effectively express the concept of "for coffee" in a small package with limited design space.

In order to create a realistic texture, we brewed coffee and stamped it many times on art paper. The various shapes of the coffee rings are also used in the design of the wrapping paper.

In addition, in anticipation of the product being sold at coffee stands, we added silver foil with diagonal lines on the bottom to catch the eye when the product is stacked on the floor, and used letterpress printing for the text to make the design more eye-catching.
