Smoked mackerel snacks are not uncommon, but this product is new! When traveling, snacks are necessary. And sometimes, other than the usual smoked squid or nuts, a fatty juicy smoked mackerel is the perfect pairing to your drink. This product was developed with a towel, toothpick and tray so you can easily enjoy it anywhere. 

We used yellow and a cutout of a transparent wine glass to convey the image of a break time under the shade by the seaside with a glass of wine in hand. Though there are canned mackerel snacks in the market, they are difficult to handle in terms of disposal, spillage (product juice) and storage. We aimed to develop a product that can be stored at room temperature for a long time. Moreover, something for easy consumption and disposal. 

For seasoning, we selected Fukuoka Itoshima Mataichi Salt (natural salt). The mackerel is sliced, cut and deboned into easy-to-eat pieces. As it has a long shelf life of 1 year and can be stored at room temperature, it is perfect as souvenirs and gifts.
