This product is inspired by the traditional dashi culture rooted in local landscapes, where not only ingredients from the sea but also wild plants growing in the land are used to create broth. It reinterprets this almost archetypal Japanese food culture in a contemporary way. Made with plants native to the northern foothills of Mount Fuji, it offers flavors that change with the seasons and from year to year—designed not merely as a seasoning, but as an experience of tasting the terroir.

In the packaging design, we prioritized conveying the presence of the forest and the cycle of nature at first glance. While conventional dashi products often rely on traditional Japanese colors such as brown, gold, and white, we deliberately adopted a green-based palette to differentiate the product and intuitively communicate its forest-derived ingredients.

To further highlight the appeal of the raw materials, we scanned the actual dashi ingredients and incorporated them into the top of the package. This allows the viewer to instantly imagine the taste and aroma, making it immediately clear what kind of dashi it is. Rather than simply presenting information, the design aims to evoke a sense of anticipation and desirability, encouraging people to pick it up and experience its flavor.
