“HanaHanaBeni Petals” is the world’s first flower sparkling beverage made from the rare Okinawan native hibiscus, Akabanaa. In Ryukyuan mythology, Akabanaa is said to be a flower that connects heaven and earth, bringing happiness and meaningful bonds. In Okinawa, there is also a tradition of saying “Hana Hana!” when making a toast, expressing respect for the other person and the wish to “let the other shine,” much like offering them a flower.
The central design motif is the petals of the Akabanaa flower themselves. The bottle label is composed of individual petal silhouettes, die-cut to create a delicate form. This allows the petals to appear as if they are gently floating within the bottle, symbolizing happiness spreading outward. At the same time, the design visually echoes the rich floral essence that settles at the bottom of the bottle, subtly communicating the depth and quality of the drink within.
