The product name, KAORI HONOKA, derives from the confectionary factory also named “Kaori Honoka”. The other product name, MOTTA PUDDING, which literally translates to “hand-held pudding”, was invented after the factory’s best seller item, “Bokujo Pudding”.
I was involved with designing the brand and packaging. I used cute illustrations as a dual function: to explain the product and catch the eyes of consumers. The gentle pastel colors also convey the “lightness” and “softness” of the products.
